About Us

Dr. Garima Gupta is the proud owner of Candy Care Pediatric Dental and a board- certified pediatric dentist to ensure her patients receive the highest standard of care. She is passionate about providing exceptional dental care to infants, children, and individuals with special needs. 

For Dr. Gupta, Pediatric dentistry is far more than a profession- it is a heartfelt commitment. She strives to ensure that parents’ concerns are fully addressed and they are fully informed. With a strong belief in prevention than intervention, she focuses on educating families about proper oral hygiene and nutrition from an early stage. She takes a conservative approach whenever possible by offering minimally invasive dentistry to help young patients feel comfortable, relaxed, and at ease. 

Dr. Gupta began her dental education in India, earning her BDS degree from one of Asia’s most prestigious dental institutions, Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Mangalore. After moving to the United States, she received her DDS degree from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). During her training, she completed a pediatric dentistry clerkship with honors, providing at local community health centers in which she found her true calling!!

After graduation, Dr. Gupta practiced as a general dentist in Virginia for almost 5 years, with a focus mainly on pediatrics. She later pursued advanced specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Nova Southeastern University, Florida, where she received the “Robert E. Primosch Award of Excellence” award for her outstanding performance during residency. Her residency program was affiliated with Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital (Level 1 pediatric trauma Center) and Mailman Segal Center, which is a well-renowned leading clinic for children with autism. This has given her extensive experience in treating children with autism. She also earned a Master of Science degree for her research on stem cells.

As a mother of two young children, Dr. Gupta understands the importance of trust, compassion, and communication. She believes there is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child’s beautiful smile and is dedicated to treating every little cutie patootie with the same care and affection she gives her own. She looks forward to providing exceptional dental care by transforming dental visits into positive, confidence‑building experiences that children are excited to return to, while building lifelong relationships with the families she serves.

Dr. Gupta is actively involved in community service initiatives such as “Give Kids a Smile” and the MOM Project, providing comprehensive dental care to underserved and medically compromised patients. She is a proud member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Maryland Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. 

Outside of her work, she enjoys traveling, practicing yoga, and spending quality time with her husband, son, and daughter.
